No clean, clear minimal and non-tacky residue.

Suitable for most aerospace and satellite applications.

Halide Free Lead Free & Leaded 3, 2, 1% ROL0
J-STD-004B
autosol
Autosol Advance

No clean, rosin activated formulation for hand soldering, automated and high speed soldering. Autosol offers rapid efficient soldering of copper, brass, nickel and zinc.

Applications include lamp and component technology and sensitive electronic assembly.

Halide & Halogen Activated Lead Free & Leaded 3, 2, 1% ROM1
J-STD-004B
future
Future HF

No clean, halide free, exhibiting the absolute minimum of clear residue after soldering, with no offensive odours generated during the soldering process.

Halide Free Lead Free & Leaded 2, 1% ROL0
J-STD-004
omega
Omega Advance

No clean, rosin free (colophony free) Omega contains no resin acids, pine oil or other naturally occurring derivatives and has specifically been designed to reduce the number of world- wide cases of industrial asthma, related to rosin usage with a cored solder wire. Omega provides excellent wetting whilst leaving a minimal, clear residue.

Halide Free Lead Free & Leaded 3, 2, 1% REL0
J-STD-004B
Hydro Flux

A water washable cored solder wire suitable for surface mount and conventional assemblies. Residue must be removed.

Organic Activated Lead Free & Leaded 2% 2.1.2
BS EN 29454 1994
Activ8

An acid cored solder wire for metal fabrication. Activ8 will solder brass, bronze, cadmium plating, copper, galvanised wire, iron, lead, mild steel, nickel and nickel plating, resistance wires (most types although flux residues should be removed), silver, spring steel, most stainless steels (using 96S), tinplate and zinc and zinc plating. Activ8 residues should be removed. Activ8 should not be used on electronic assemblies.

Flux Classification and Testing
J-STD-004B Amendment 1

J-STD-004 is the IPC standard used to designate the requirements for soldering fluxes. As is the case with international standards, updates happen which can result in the classification of a soldering flux changing.

We at Warton Metals would like to take the opportunity to offer some basic information on the latest standard requirements for the classification of soldering fluxes, including how halide content is evaluated in accordance with the latest standards.

If you would like to know more about how soldering flux classification works and what these classifications mean to you and your customers then please read our cored solder flux classifications questions and answers help page.
